Summer is fast approaching, which means we are all looking for more things to do outside! Here is a list of some of our favorite Long Island Breweries!
1) BrewSa Brewery- 180 Woodcleft Ave, Freeport NY (Located on the Nautical Mile)
BrewSa prides themselves on being truly, “Made in America” with 25% of their profits being donated to Veteran Charities. BrewSa is also a pet friendly brewery so don’t forget to bring your furry friends!
2) Oyster Bay Brewing Company- 36 Audrey Ave, Oyster Bay NY
Oyster Bay Brewery, also known as, “Long Island’s Gold Cost Brewery” was established in 2012. With over 12 beers on tap and plenty of seltzers, this brewery would be a great place to kick back and watch an Islanders game while sipping their signature Barn Rocker.
3) Lithology Brewing Company- 211A Main Street, Farmingdale NY
Lithology opened its doors in 2016, and was opened by 4 friends with over 20 years of experience brewing beers. This brewery not only offers flights, drafts canned beer, wine and seltzers but it also offers cocktails, hot toddies and frozen drinks!
4) Great South Bay Brewery- 25 Drexel Drive, Bay Shore NY
This brewery is family friendly as long as anyone under 21 is accompanied by a parent. The GSB offers outdoor and indoor seating and is dog friendly every day except Saturdays. They also offer a Dunkaroo flavored beer to bring some nostalgia back for the 90’s kid in us all.
5) Port Jefferson Brewing Company- 22 Mill Creek Road, Port Jefferson NY
Port Jeff Brewing Co was founded in October of 2011 right across from the NY-Connecticut ferry. This impressive brewery features a 7 barrel system, producing 217 gallons per brew. This unique brewery also offers free concerts every Wednesday night in June, July and august and is open to all ages!
6) Westhampton Beach Brewing Company- 220 Roger’s Way, Westhampton Beach NY
a. This brewery was founded in 2016 by two childhood best friends! Their motto is “Everyday’s a beach day” and their beach themed beers collaborate perfectly with that. Offering flights, pints, growlers, crowlers and 6 packs this beach brewery is the perfect summer spot to hit with friends!
7) Jamesport Brewing Company- 5873 Sound Ave, Riverhead NY
i. With their motto “Farm to Pint”, this brewery prides their recipe on ingredients grown right on site making this one of the freshest beers you will ever have! This brewery is known for hosting the Long Island Fresh Hop festival hosted annually. This is a family friendly brewery during the week and also is pet friendly, so bring your kids and your pet for a night family night outside!
8) Greenport Harbor Brewing Company- 234 Carpenter Street, Greenport NY
i. Founded in 2009 by two friends who bonded over awful beer, this brewery prides itself on good tasting beer and doing well for the community. This brewery established “the giving tank” which collects for charities and organizations that need it. From ales, to porters, to IPA’s, to lagers, this brewery has something for everyone!
9) Montauk Brewery- 62 Erie Ave Montauk NY
a. This beachy brewery opened its doors in 2015 by 3 lifelong friends, and is now considered one of Long Islands fastest growing breweries! This kid and pet friendly brewery promotes living the good life and their beer definitely embodies that with tasty summer flavors. The brewery’s tagline is “Come as you are” promoting inclusivity and they stand against racism and violence.
